Slow Food Katy Trail and Broadway Brewery present an Early Spring Dinner and Beer Tasting
Slow Food Katy Trail invites you to an Early-Spring Dinner and Beer Tasting at Broadway Brewery, 816 E. Broadway in Columbia. Come dine with Slow Food members, friends, farmers and cooks as we toast the beginning of spring and the local food we all love.
This April 18 feast, beginning at 5 p.m., will celebrate all the wonderful fresh food available to mid-Missourians in early spring. Walker Claridge, co-owner of the brewery, and his staff will create delectable dishes that showcase the local bounty.
The food doesn't get any fresher than this, since the brewery restaurant puts a fine point on the "farm-to-table" experience. Walker and other co-owner Kenny Duzan, own and manage three farms that contribute a majority of the seasonal produce to the restaurant. The meat, cheese, milk and eggs that don't come from their farms are sourced from others nearby.
Also on tap for the evening is a tour of the brewery, during which we'll learn how delicious beer is made "down under" Broadway.
