In Christopher Durang's absurdist comedy, Baby with the Bathwater, hapless parents Helen and John attempt to raise their child, only to expose him to lethal toys, harmful substances, and a particularly rancorous nanny. On top of all this, Helen "misdiagnoses" their son as a girl, naming him Daisy and making him wear dresses. To escape his parents' dysfunctional behavior, Daisy develops a penchant for hurling himself in front of buses and for faking a catatonic state. Years later, however, an adult Daisy enters into therapy so as to properly deal with his bizarre upbringing, or at the least, help him remember to wear pants.
Performances are June 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 PM. All performances are at the Twin Cities Friends Meetinghouse (1725 Grand Avenue, Saint Paul).
