Girls and Gods
Capitol Hill Arts Center Seattle, WA
In this sly, smart roller coaster ride, a wronged woman turns the tables on the Greek gods Zeus and Dionysus. Tricked by strong wine and a pretty-faced bull, the Olympians end up as residents of the Lillian Erstwhile Home for Unwed Mothers in a precarious state of involuntary metamorphosis.
Written by the creator of Sgt Rigsby & His Amazing Silhouettes, Girls and Gods is chock full of plucky archeologists, hapless thespians, nymphs, romance, deception, giant lobsters and ten dollar words. No prior knowledge of Classical mythology is needed to enjoy this highly theatrical evening.
Carys Kresny directs an all-star cast comprised of Allan Armstrong, Alycia Delmore, Peggy Gannon, Stephen Hando, Shannon Kipp, Stacey Plum, Brandon Simmons and John Wray.
Loss, betrayal and abandonment have never been so funny.
