A film festival provides a forum where people can gather, not only to watch movies, but also to engage in real conversations about the issues that matter to us. Our closing film provides the perfect opportunity for such an exchange. Encounter Point tells the story of Israelis, Palestinians, and other activists who are working collaboratively to seek grassroots, non-violent solutions to the seemingly intractable Israeli-Palestinian conflict. While many films have been made about this topic, what sets Encounter Point apart is the warmth, diversity, optimism of its subjects, many of whom have lost loved ones to violence.
