Academy Award-winner Freida Lee Mock (Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision) profiles one of the most prolific and talented American playwrights of our time, Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Homebody/Kabul). Mock's film begins just after 9/11 and follows the now-50-year-old writer through the 2004 presidential elections. Along the way, she captures Kushner's humor and courage, as well as the moral responsibility that pervades his work. The film also features Meryl Streep, Marcia Gay Harden, Maurice Sendak, George C. Wolfe, Frank Rich and others. |
