Post-Disaster Safety Assessment Program Evaluator Training

This full-day class trains attendees to do field evaluations of buildings and other infrastructure for safety. It includes the most currently updated curriculum prepared by the Governor's Office of Emergency Services (OES), practical examples of post-disaster field conditions impacting structural safety, assessing the degree of severity, posting, and barricading procedures.
The goal of the Program is to help local government perform accurate facility safety assessments as quickly as possible. SAP Evaluators survey damaged facilities to determine if there are safety hazards to building occupants or to the general public. SAP Evaluators also provide recommended posting of placards that denote the condition of each structure evaluated.
Upon completion of this full day training, you will:
â Become registered to assist jurisdictions across California and the nation with accurate evaluation of facilities, buildings, and infrastructures in the aftermath of a disastrous event.
â Earn a Stateâissued OES badge
â Earn 7 AIA/CES HSW Credits
