Bridgetown Comedy Festival 2010
The Bridgetown Comedy Festival is back!
2010 marks the third year of the Pacific Northwest's premiere comedy event, and it's bigger and better than ever. Over 120 performers are scheduled to attend, including comedic actors from 30 Rock, The Office, Community, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and many more! Bridgetown is a four-day event taking place in Southeast Portland's Upper Hawthorne district, featuring performances at Bagdad Theater, Hawthorne Theater, Mt. Tabor Theater, Bar of the Gods and Tanker.
Special events include:
- Conan Writers Panel - Longtime writers for Late Night and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien including Kevin Dorff, Brian McCann, Josh Comers and Dan Cronin sit down with the hilarious Jimmy Pardo to dish about what goes on behind the scenes at Late Night and the Tonight Show and to field questions from fans.
- Asssscat! - Pioneers of long-form improvisational comedy including Upright Citizens Brigade founding members Matt Walsh and Matt Besser, and Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows.
- Theme Park - Improv comedy from 30 Rock's Scott Adsit, The Office's Oscar Nunez, Community's Danny Pudi, Dinner and a Movie's Janet Varney and Rifftrax's Cole Stratton.
- Never Not Funny! - The incomparable Jimmy Pardo brings his groundbreaking podcast to Bridgetown for a live taping with Pat Francis, Matt Belknap and special guests from the festival.
- I Am Comic - Bridgetown presents the Pacific Northwest premiere of Director Jordan Brady's brilliant new documentary exploring the world of the working comedian and revealing a funny psychological profile of its practitioners, featuring dozens of comics including Sarah Silverman, Nick Kroll, Kathy Griffin, Dave Attell, Janeane Garofalo, Jim Gaffigan, Jeff Foxworthy, Tim Allen, Louis CK, Roseanne Barr, and Phyllis Diller, among many others, with stars Ritch Shydner, Dana Gould and Todd Glass presenting a post-screening question-and-answer session.
- Birdemic: Shock and Terror - The film that New York Magazine called "The next hilariously great cult horror movie!" has been making waves at sold-out screenings all over the country. Bridgetown is proud present the Portland premiere of Birdemic at a special midnight screening, featuring director James Nguyen.
