Level 4: Playing it Real and Funny
Improv is acting without a script. You can make things up now, but can you be believable? Apply what you've learned thus far in order to pace and focus on the deceptively simple task of listening and responding. In this class students will work to build rich, interesting characters and relationships by recognizing their own impulses and emotions. This 8-week class includes personalized challenges and feedback, as well as the week to week reinforcement of course elements through practice and play.
Prerequisite: Must have completed Levels 1-3 or gain permission of an instructor.
This class meets Mondays from 7 pm - 9 pm (January 19 - March 16) and will be instructed by Cristela Carrizales
Cristela Carrizales is a longtime actress in musicals, plays, improv, film, and her own one-woman show. She has coached, directed, created, and played in numerous improv groups, including the original improvised romantic comedy "It's Complicated", Villian: The Musical, The Ones Your Mother Warned You About, Off-Book, Night Rhymers, and The MiDolls.
Note: There is no class the week of Valentine's Day, Feb 14 & 16
Class enrollment is limited to 12 students.
