OC Roller Girls Inaugural (FUN) Walk & Roll to benefit Breast Cancer Angels

This year housing is the biggest priority.  Many families are facing foreclosure and eviction due to the drastic change in income that comes from not being able to work.  100% of profits from this event and t-shirt sales will be used to assist women in treatment for breast cancer and their families with housing.

This is a fun (approx 3 miles) skate and a fun walk in the beautiful Central Park of Huntington Beach.  Finish Line Management Provided by Runners Image.

Your registration includes the walk/skate.  Event t-shirts & goodie bags to the first 200 registered).  **T-shirts have been printed. Anyone registered before 4/23 will have their name listed.

Then- join the OC Roller Girls for our Annual Roll For A Cure Roller Derby on 5/8/10 - wear your shirt and get $5 admission.

OC ROLLER GIRLS:
Founded in 2006, our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of women. We believe in the value of the individual, the strength of the team, and the power of the female spirit. We have a strong community focus and encourage our members to devote time and resources to assisting nonprofit organizations through special events.

BREAST CANCER ANGELS:
The Mission of Breast Cancer Angels is to provide financial, emotional and spiritual assistance for women and their families as they are going through breast cancer treatment. Breast Cancer Angels is an independent, not for profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000 by two breast cancer survivors and their loving sisters.

COURSE/ TERRAIN:
The course is approximately 4 laps of a .75 mile loop on asphalt and is approximately 3 miles. It is outdoors and there are nature type obstacles (squirrels, twigs, leaves, people,rocks etc.) Wear outdoor wheels if skating. Skaters will start first (9am) and walkers will start an hour later. You must be able to complete the course in an hour to have your time registered.   NO DOGS PLEASE-PER PARK RULES.

AWARD DIVISIONS:
Awards for Skaters & Walkers categories to top 3 individual finishers and in the following age groups: Under 15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

DIRECTIONS:
Start is near Breakfast in the Park Restaurant off Edwards Street.
From Los Angeles: Take 405 South to the Bolsa Ave West exit toward Goldenwest St. Turn Left onto Westminster Mall. Turn Right onto Goldenwest St. Right onto Ellis, right onto Edwards, right at Central Park Drive.

From San Diego:Take the 405 N. to Warner Ave. West, exit toward Magnolia St. South. Merge onto Warner Ave. Turn left onto Goldenwest St., right onto Ellis, right onto Edwards, right at Central Park Drive.

PARKING:
There is limited parking near the start. Overflow parking is at the Central Park Sports Complex located at 18100 Goldenwest St. Cost is $1 per space and walk to the start.

I, for myself and on behalf of my /our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS all the above Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my involvement or participation in these programs, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE, to the fullest extent of the law.
