Hometown Hootenanny - Rockabilly Rocks!
Historic Everett Theatre Everett, WA
In the 1950s, country music artists began experimenting with a new style of music, adding a driving beat to classic lyrics and writing songs that spoke to the youth of America. Artists like Elvis Presley, Conway Twitty, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis were at the forefront of this movement, and the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis became the birthplace of rockabilly music. In this month's Hometown Hootenanny, we'll pay tribute to those pioneers of early rock 'n roll, so dust off your blue suede shoes and grab Little Susie for an evening of pure fun!
Note: Parking on-street or in pay lots. Parking at the EverPark on the corner of Hoyt and Hewitt, one block from theater, is free after 6 p.m.
