Eleemosynary by Lee Blessing
Holiday Inn Express Montrose, CO
Eleemosynary examines the unusual and volatile relationship between three remarkable women: the grandmother, Dorothea, whose dissatisfaction with her sheltered life led her to seek solace in spiritualism and idiosyncrasy; her brilliant daughter, Artie, who has repeatedly fled the stifling domination of her mother; and Artie's daughter, Echo, a child of exceptional intellect and sensitivity whom Artie has abandoned to an upbringing by Dorothea.
