Sister Cities
Stone Soup Theatre Seattle, WA
Emerald City Scene is thrilled to present Sister Cities, written by Colette Freedman and directed by Danielle Franich.
Four sisters are brought home to deal with their mother Mary's (Molly Thompson) seemingly sudden suicide. Carolina (Gina Russell), a recently divorced lawyer, Baltimore (Laura Samorano), a young Harvard grad student, and Dallas (Erin Sprow), a married elementary school teacher, haven't been home in years. They get there to find their sister Austin (Carrie Cates), a successful writer who has been living at home, taking care of their mother, and living off of frozen meals. The sisterly reunion turns in a far different direction when Carolina, Baltimore, and Dallas learn that their mother suffered from Lou Gehrig's Disease. Seattle audiences will love the comedy and live through the drama of this smart and warm script.
