Family Dinner at Dawali Mediterranean Kitchen
Join Purple Asparagus for a family dinner at Dawali Mediterranean Kitchen, a bright, friendly Middle Eastern restaurant run Chef Nasser Amer, a first generation Chicagoan born to Palestinian parents. Chef Amer, who worked with Chef Sarah Stegner at the Ritz-Carlton, will treat us to a feast of home-style dishes including his Grandmother's Fasoulia - green bean and lamb stew, Hummus, Falafel, and Grilled Kababs. In addition to a fabulous meal, we'll enjoy cultural activities including an explanation of historic background of the delicious dishes and musical entertainment featuring the Tabla, a traditional Middle Eastern percussion instrument.
