Buffalo Soldiers, The Legacy
Middleton's Perfroming Arts Center Middleton, WI
The story takes place during the post civil war period shortly after the 1863 emancipation of the African American slaves. The Buffalo soldiers represent a variety of human conditions ranging from escaped and freed slaves, former civil war veteran blacks as well as northern freed businessmen. This is a story of the cultural as well as the personal actualizations of two vastly different, yet closely similar people. Two groups of human beings fighting for the same basic and fundamental foundations of life...their Dignity.
Note: There will be a Actor/Audience talk back session directly following the performance.
