HEIRLOOM ARTS THEATRE Presents...
Wednesday, March 25th @ Heirloom Arts Theatre 155 Main St Danbury, CT 06810
LETLIVE. (Epitaph Records) Based out of Los Angeles, post-hardcore quintet Letlive formed in 2002. With a frantic, driving sound, the band fuses some of the technical fury of At the Drive-In with a more direct, passionate delivery. The band made its debut in 2004 with Exhaustion, Saltwater, and Everything in Between, released on At One Records. They followed up quickly the next year, releasing Speak Like You Talk, all the while slowly building up their credentials. During these years, the band had a bit of a rotating lineup of members, which finally firmed up in 2009 with a roster consisting of singer Jason Aalon Butler (the group's only founding member), guitarists Jean Nascimento and Jeff Sahyoun, drummer Anthony Rivera, and bassist Ryan Jay Johnson. That year, Letlive signed on with Tragic Hero, which released their third album, Fake History, in 2010. Shortly afterwards, the group made the jump to punk giant Epitaph, which reissued Fake History in 2011 with a handful of bonus tracks. This album was seen as something of a breakthrough for the band in certain circles, and their audience grew, based in large part to their increasingly explosive live shows. They followed up in 2013 with fourth album The Blackest Beautiful.
TAKE ONE CAR Take One Car began with a strong DIY work ethic and a passion to create the organic and energetic music they loved. Over the last 6 years they have successfully co-produced, and self-released two full length albums, relentlessly toured throughout the country, and have recently wrapped up recording their third full length record. To survive as an independent band, they quickly learned the value of establishing a strong community and network both locally and abroad. Musically, Take One Car has continued to push themselves while maintaining their loyalty to creating something raw and sincere. Taking the collective route to writing, instead of relaying on a sole writer, the band hopes to continue to grow their honed but diverse sound.
MANNERS Manners is an exciting new band presenting to the world a brave new generation of Connecticut hardcore. The band has played coveted slots of both the Vans Warped Tour and the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival as well as their own inspiring shows on the East Coast. Manners is now signed to MorseCode Recordings, a label founded by music video director / producer Derek A. Morse and Rachel Rosen of Indecision and Most Precious Blood. Their latest release is entitled Apparitions & Escapism, and it's definitely well worth seeking out!
TRI-STATE ERA Punk from the underbelly of Wallingford, CT. Tr-State Era is currently finishing up recording their first full length to be released early 2015. The kings of outer fucking space.
