Beginning Knitting
Learn all the basics of knitting! In these three sessions, you will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. In addition we will look at knit/purl textured patterns and how to increase and decrease. We will discuss the finer points of selecting the right pattern and yarn for your first project. In the second class we will begin work on a scarf that will use your new skills.
Skills learned include: casting on, knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, garter stitch, stockinet stitch, ribbing, seed stitch, casting off, seaming and gauge as well as reading patterns.
