The Secret Garden - Outdoors at the Burton Homestead
The Secret Garden is a play based on the book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The classic tale of orphaned, Mary Lennox comes to life beneath the towering pines of the Burton Homestead in Nevada City, California. Quest Theaterworks is putting the "outdoor" back in theater this summer with its entire season being played outside at various locations in Nevada County and beyond. The Secret Garden performs July 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27, 2014 @ 6:00. This play is that perfect summer event to enjoy outside with your family.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* This is a bring-your-own-chair event. You will find a section in front for blankets, a middle section for low chairs and a section in the rear for high chairs. Shade canopies will be allowed in the rear section only. Please arrive early enough to set up your viewing area. Picnics are encouraged. Nevada City temperatures range from 70's to upper 80's during July. Sunset is around 8:30 so you will have plenty of light to get to your vehicle after the performance.
