Slow Burn Burlesque is the most thrilling show in New Orleans! Combining classic style and glamour with rock n' roll attitude, Slow Burn sets stages on fire with bewitching routines, outrageous antics, and hilarious behavior. Each show is bursting with over the top entertainment provided by our sexy core cast of burlesque beauties and special guests from around the world, including comedians, aerialists, magicians, contortionists, pole dancers, musicians, and more!
Join us Friday, May 9th at the famous Howlin' Wolf in downtown New Orleans for an evening of entertainment that you'll never forget! Nobody else shakes it like Slow Burn, and we're gonna be shakin' it hard with the best in the burlesque business. It's time to throw down New Orleans Show Girl Style! In the house we have the seductive Ginger Licious, the raucous Ruby Rage, the lascivious Lady Lucerne, and the alluring Roxie le Rouge with the preacher of perversion, Ben Wisdom as your host. And, joining us for this epic night of fun will be our special guest stars: the provocative Little Luna, and the hilarious Clay Mazing!
Little Luna is the co-founder/producer of New Orleans own, Unholy Roller Revival burlesque show and one of the founding members of Baltimore's award winning burlesque troupe, Gilded Lily. A daring performer known for her wildly creative concepts and her flair for story telling, Little Luna has performed in some of the most prestigious Burlesque festivals in the country including the Americana Burlesque and Sideshow Festival, Southern Fried Festival, and the New York City Burlesque Festival! She also helped create the Gilded Lily Burlesque School in Baltimore, Maryland.
Clay Mazing is as amazing as his name implies. He's a musician, juggler, dancer, acrobat, and clown! He's also the Captain of the Emergency Circus, an all volunteer run coalition of circus artists who uplift the hurting and facilitate the healing of people in retirement communities, hospitals, homeless shelters, and more with entertainment, inspiration, and empathy.
Ginger Licious is the co-producer of Slow Burn Burlesque and the founder and producer of Cirque du Licious. This multi-talented lady is well practiced in the aerial arts, stilt walking, fire, dance, and of course, striptease! She pulls from all her talents to create vaudevillian acts that combine her nature as a flirt with her passion for performance. She's sweet, she's spicy, she's everything nicey, and she's gonna put a hurting on your heart and some other places as well, with her breath taking and sensual acts! She will awe you, inspire you, excite you, and best of all, make you giggle with her wit and smile.
Roxie le Rouge, aka, The Best Booty in The Big Easy, is not only one of the core members of Slow Burn Burlesque, but this busy burlesque lady is also a member of Fleur de Tease, and she's the creator and producer of Big Deal Burlesque! She has a degree in dance and she knows how to use it! This petite pistol has performed at major attractions such as Southern Fried Burlesque Fest, Jazz Fest, The Voodoo Music Experience, The New Orleans Burlesque Festival, and the New York City Bruelsque Festival.
Ruby Rage is known as the "Country Cutie". She has a love of cowgirl boots and rhinestones, she's burlesque obsessed, and always ready to set the stage on fire. Ruby has used those boots to wow audiences all over the country at the Texas Burlesque Festival, Southern Fried Burlesque Festival, Dallas burlesque festival, New York Burlesque Fest, and New Orleans Burlesque Festival just to name a few. She's also been known to grace the stage with New Orleans legend Dr. John! Ruby is also the producer of the Whiskey Rockets who perform regularly with Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue.
Lady Lucerne, Hailing from Switzerland, and taking the name of the town from which she sprang, The Lady Lucerne is one of New Orleans' most innovative entertainers. Each of her performances are laced with subversive humor and she constantly pushes the boundaries of burlesque and good taste. Before coming to New Orleans, The Lady Lucerne, was a weekly performer at New York City's Slipper Room and also performed in the New York City Burlesque Festival. She's also a law student and amateur boxer, so she can keep you out or jail or kick your ass and take your lunch from you.
Ben Wisdom will be your hilarious and sinister master of ceremonies for the evening. He is the co-producer of Slow Burn Burlesque and the preacher of perversion. He's also the dirtiest motherf#$%Er in the South. He preaches burlesque salvation with all the conviction of a Pentecostal minister and he'll have you rolling in the aisles with his unique brand of naughty humor. He's even brought his act to television as the preacher in FX's third season of American Horror Story: Coven.
