The three lovely and talented women of Huxtable, Christensen & Hood formed their musical partnership while students at Skidmore College. In a testament to the strength of their friendship and musical synergy, they have kept the trio alive for more than three decades despite geographical separation, motherhood, and demanding careers. They sing popular music of five centuries, including British and American traditional music, catches and rounds, music of the Renaissance, hymns, American Songbook standards, doo-wop, and beautiful original songs. Their tight vocal harmonies and lively, humor-filled performances have long made them a favorite with Caffe Lena audiences. They accompany themselves with piano, reed organ, recorders, accordion, spoons and other whimsical percussion instruments.
