Witness the first total lunar eclipse visible (weather permitting) from New Mexico in the past several years. See the moon and night sky at the Observatory (weather permitting). Planetarium shows will explain why eclipses occur.
Event starts at 10 pm, eclipse begins around midnight, and total eclipse is about 2 a.m. NOTE: Event will be canceled if the sky is cloudy.
In the event of cancellation of a Starry Night due to that evening's inclement weather, you will be issued a NMMNH&S voucher for use on any other Starry Night event scheduled within the following 6 months.
You will need to bring in your BPT Receipt of purchase within 7 days to receive your NMMNH&S voucher for another Starry Night Event.
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science reserves the right to cancel any event that does not reach a minimum of 6 participants.
