This Second Saturday reception and exhibition premiers selected photographs by both professional and novice photographers entered into the Architectura Obscura Photography Competition. Photographs will focus on agriculturally related architecture and regional identity--with an emphasis on locality. Event includes a presentation of awards and an interactive discussion about the entries led by jury members. No-host beer and food trucks on-site.

About the Festival:

The central theme around the Central Valley Architecture Festival is an exploration of the identity of our region; the relationship of architecture  and design to our culture, landscape, climate and history.

The festival mission is three-fold:

1. Highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture.

2. Create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity.

3. Facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives.
