Urban Tellers is a monthly story showcase that is held at the intimate Hipbone Studio. The November 9th show features stories by Margaret Bak, Ian Blair, Charlotte Webb, Meg Storey, Michael Kerr, and Sage Cohen.
Everyone who participates in Urban Tellers has taken our workshop, The Art of Personal Narrative. These are ordinary people --- just like you --- who have worked to discover their stories. No notes. No lies. No scripted monologues that are memorized.
Urban tellers stand alone, under a spotlight, in a roomful of strangers. Together, they embark on a high-wire act of shared experience which is both terrifying and exhilarating. These are not competitions; every story is honored and heard.
Get your tickets sooner rather than later. These events usually fill up quickly.
