Brian Copeland's Not A Genuine Black Man
A poignant and funny tale of identity and character, NOT A GENUINE BLACK MAN is Brian Copeland's one-man show based on his best-selling book of the same name. The show received rave reviews during it's long runs on Broadway and in Los Angeles. How much do our surrounding shape us? In 1972, an 8-year-old Brian got to find out first hand when his family moved from Oakland to San Leandro, which had recently been declared one of the most racist suburbs in the nation. Laugh along as Brian traces his troublesome route from third grade outcast to successful playwright, author and television personality
