Spring Session 1: Flying with New Mexico Reptiles & Birds
Does your young one express an interest in birds? Do you wish to share your interest with your child? We will explore what we know about birds, learn ways to watch them, and find out about the flying monsters of prehistoric eras. We will have an optional field trip to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count on Saturday, February 16th. What's the connection between birds and dinosaurs?
First Class: All About Birds and Ancient Flyers January 24, 25 or 26
Second Class: Be a Bird Watcher! February 7, 8 or 9
Third Class: Be a Bird! February, 21, 22 or 23
Fourth Class: Be a Flying Monster! March 7, 8 or 9
Prehistoric Preschool is a Museum program for 3-5 year-olds and their adult companions to explore natural history topics in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All activities are child-centered, hands-on, and age appropriate. Classes include two hours of crafts, songs, games, puppet shows, investigating specimens from the Museum's collections, Museum visits, and a fun and healthy snack. Registration is pro-rated if you join after the first class starts.
This class meets on Thursday afternoons,1:00pm-3:00pm:
