The road to "coming of age" is almost always marked by unexpected turns, detours, rough patches and smooth. Do you remember? For Yoni Roshko the universally shared challenge of Bar Mitzvah preparation is only the context within which so many other daunting problems exist. There is Yoni's physical stature, a target for bullying. There is a home life with ineffectual, uncommunicative parents whose frail relationship has only Yoni to sustain it. There is the abrupt return of an institutionalized autistic older brother. What should be one of the brightest and joyous occasions for a Jewish household seems destined for disaster. Will it take a miracle to save the blessed day? Could it be a miracle tied to Yoni's Torah passage? You are invited guests to come see and share this special film about that very "special day."
