Dorfman, with Gentle Dog, a short - Scottsdale
DORFMAN (USA)
Director: Brad Leong
Comedy  94 minutes, English

Screenings:
Harkins Camelview 5  Thurs. Feb. 14th, 7 PM

You've heard it:  "We are just more of what we were when younger."  But what if you are only 27 years old, single, insecure, and socially inept?  What if you are still living at home in the LA suburbs, supposedly the perfect daughter, caring for your recently widowed Father, a cranky man more Jewish Mother-of-guilt than any Jewish Mother;  and to your embarrassment, tossing off politically incorrect one-liners?  What if you are an able accountant, but still the work horse, and scape goat for everything and everyone, in your brother's agency?  Is this all there is?  Is this to be your life, Deb Dorfman?   Is this all there is to the movie?  Not on your life, Festival goers!  You have heard it:  "location, location" is everything.  Well, come see how a chance, temporary, move to revitalize downtown LA, vitalized Deb.  Like Deb, meet a delightful, irrepressible cast of characters.  The wise, older woman, the innocently wild and wicked models, and of course, the mysterious stranger, swarthy and alluring in the mail room.  After all, the setting is "tinsel town."  So what better location for a charming romantic comedy and foreseen dreams come true?

Preceded by:

Gentle Dog (Israel)
Director:  David Shadi-Comedy-10 minutes, Hebrew w/English subtitles.

Man meets woman.  Woman takes man home.  Man meets Great Dane. Woof!
