PULSES: A Live VideoTheater Production by Dayna Moses
"PULSES: A Live VideoTheater Production" is a solo exhibition conceived, written, and performed by Dayna Moses.
Dayna Moses' interactive video and live narrative is an entrance into the lives of various characters (all played by Moses). It excavates, isolates, and challenges the psyche of the artist herself, who serves as a canvas on which these figures are projected. The tragic-comic monologues are works that explore the membraneous connections between animal and human, between fantasy and reality.
Dayna Moses is a multimedia video artist who uses her camera and self to explore landscapes beneath flesh by entering the lives of various appropriated characters. She studied Cinema and English at Binghamton University and received her MFA in Performing Arts- Film/Video from UWM, Peck School of the Arts. Her work has been shown in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv-Yafo (Israel), Moscow (Russia), Illinois, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and New York.
