Ph. D. Larry Crumpler
The Mars Opportunity Rover has been exploring the Red Planet for over 1/3 of the time the museum has been open, so as part of Space Science Month during the museum's 30th anniversary celebration, find out what the rover is currently studying in this live program. The mission's planning lead, Dr. Larry Crumpler, will present panoramas of Mars encircling the planetarium dome and recreating the feeling of standing on another world! The new planetarium projection system's technology will also be used to orbit Mars and describe its surface from above.
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science reserves the right to cancel any event that does not reach a minimum of 6 participants.
