Directed and adapted by Sally Cookson, based on the novel by Charlotte Bronte.
Cast: Madeleine Worrall, Melanie Marshall, Felix Hayes.

One of London's hottest tickets this season is the acclaimed re-imagining of Jane Eyre, first staged by the Bristol Old Vic, now in an exhilarating (live!) performance from the National Theatre. As directed by Sally Cookson, Charlotte Bronte's 1847 tale is one woman's fight for fulfillment on her own terms.

From her beginnings as an orphan, Jane Eyre's spirited heroine faces life's obstacles head-on, surviving poverty, injustice and even the discovery of bitter betrayal. The amazing cast includes Madeleine Worrall as Jane, Melanie Marshall as 'the madwoman in the attic,' and Felix Hayes as the tormented Rochester. 3 hours and 36 min with one intermission.

"Through it all moves Madeleine Worrall as Jane: a superb, unaffected performance that conveys her feistiness, her integrity and her vulnerability." Five Stars, Sarah Hemming, London Financial Times.
