Terrestrial Mammals of Point Reyes

Point Reyes National Seashore is home to such dynamic mammals as Tule elk, coyote, bobcat, seals, sea lions and whales. Almost 40 species of land mammals inhabit the area including a diverse group of rodents, weasels, hares, ringtail, and mountain lion. Join biologist John Harris to discover the natural history and unique world of many of these elusive animals. This field trip will include the use of live traps that will allow a closer study and appreciation of several mice, voles, and other nocturnal rodents. Guide: John Harris
