ABOUT THE SHOW: Flaming of the Shrew is a re-consideration of... (you guessed it!) Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. Set in present-day New Orleans in the Mardi Gras shop of the Krewe De Vieux, Flaming is the story of an unconventional family trying to make its way in a fragile world.
The all-male cast is a throwback to traditional Shakespeare. But the characters are all gay, and the cast is an ensemble; a non-traditional interpretation lending itself to an exciting new play, new stars, and a completely new story.

ABOUT THE THEATER: The Betsy Stage (Mississippi & Huron, near the Lincoln/Broadway rail station) was built FOR Lucky 20, BY Lucky 20 in 2011. This 30-seat black box makes for intimate theatre experience.
DIRECTIONS TO THE THEATER FROM I-25: I-25 NORTH: Lincoln/Broadway exit, take the first left from the exit ramp, cross Lincoln and take a left on S. Broadway. Drive past the light rail station, then take a right onto Mississippi. You'll cross over Santa Fe, and when you see "Rome's Saloon" on the right side, take a left onto Huron. There is street parking available, and the theater will be on your right.

They were determined to ensure that those living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses were receiving proper nutrition -- vital in the fight against disease. With your help, Project Angel Heart can continue to meet the growing need of hundreds of adults and children coping with life-threatening illness in the Denver and Colorado Springs metro areas.
