Music Improv Workshop with TJ Shanoff
What happens in an improv scene when you want to heighten emotions even further but are not sure where to go? You sing!
Come learn the basics of Music Improv or strengthen the skills you already have with T.J. Shanoff! T.J. is a Chicago-based  musical director with almost twenty years of experience. He has worked with Second City, IO, The Annoyance, Off- Broadway and with some major names in the business.
T.J. will show you how to easily go from scene to song, explore song structure and get you singing in character with confidence. Geared for students with at least two years of improv experience.

About TJ

T.J. Shanoff is a Chicago-based entertainer; and has served as a writer, director, musical director, host/emcee, and producer for nearly twenty years.

Musical Direction includes An Evening with Martin Short, The Second City National Touring Company, Songs Of The Second City, The Chicago & Midwest Emmy Awards, and Chicago Live!, as well as improv and sketch shows featuring Bill Murray, Rachel Dratch, Jack McBrayer, Horatio Sanz, Tim Kazurinsky, Jim Belushi, and Wayne Brady.
With Rich Talarico (Key & Peele, MADtv), T.J. co-wrote, produced, and musically directed The Roof Is On Fiddler, a 1980's-themed parody of Fiddler On The Roof which was a smash hit at Chicago's iO (formerly Improv Olympic) theater in the summer of 2001. T.J.'s current project, The Power Of Prom (co-written with Eddie Furman and Pat Reidy, directed by Mick Napier), is a 1980's centered musical comedy that had its world premiere workshop in a limited run at the Annoyance Theater in April, 2015.
