Puss in Boots: Lunch 'n Laughs
Enjoy the physical humor and witty banter of our poor, but merry, band of traveling performers Arlequin, Punchin, Columbine, Rosetta, Pantalone, and Scaramouch as they tell their own version of the classic children's tale.
Puss in Boots is the story of the foolish youngest son of a miller, who follows the advice of a clever cat in extraordinary footwear to achieve nobility and a fine marriage. Of course, the players (Columbine, Arlequin, Punchin, Scaramouch, Rosetta and Pantalone) embellish the story with their own form of magic. There's a laundry list of laughs, especially when Puss in Boots duels the great laundry giant!
Performed in the style of Commedia dell-arte which is Italian for "comedy of the professional artists" a popular form of theatre since the 15th century. It is the fore-father of slapstick comedy as performed by the Marx Brothers and just about any animated features by productions companies such as Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks.
