About the Comedy Festival The Milwaukee Comedy Festival (formerly the Sketch and Improv Comedy Festival) was founded by Matt Kemple in 2006 to bring comedy together to strengthen and expand the existing comedy scene in Milwaukee. The Festival aspires to create an active comedy environment where performers can hone their craft, create new and exciting comedy, and foster an environment that the audience and performers both want to be a part of.
