How many planets are in our solar system? Did you know our sun is our closest star? We will blast off into deep space during a planetarium show and explore sunspots as they happen at our observatory. Campers will have an opportunity to drive a remote control Mars rover and create their own egg-drop Mars lander. Activities include art projects, games, stories, investigating real specimens from the Museum's collections, and visits to the Museum's exhibits. Classes are limited to 16 children and are taught by two adult instructors and one aide..
Aftercare will not be available.
YOU NEED TO KNOW These classes are scheduled rain or shine. The minimum number of participants for a class is 6. Please note that the Museum staff (including instructors, aides and all other staff) cannot take responsibility for dispensing prescription or over-the-counter medications. Campers are required to provide their own lunch for full-day programs and a snack and drink for half-day programs. Field trips require a day-pack with lunch, water bottle, hat and sunscreen as well as any other necessary items noted in the registration confirmation letter.
