Don Friesen Live in Fresno! Valentines Day 2015

Native Fresnan DON FRIESEN from SHOWTIME returns to perform at his almost-mater.
On Valentines Day Saturday, June 14th, award-winning comedian Don Friesen from Showtime's "Ask Your Mom" and numerous other TV appearances, returns to the scene of the crime---the high school that he ALMOST graduated from, for a one-night stand on Valentines Day. The show will be a mix of favorite bits from Don's Showtime Special, and newer bits from the next hour that he's working on, hitting on themes such as parenting, marriage, techno-angst and wordplay---perfect subject material for a theater-going audience and for a feel-good Valentines night out!
In addition to numerous TV appearances, daily airplay on all of the XM Sirius satellite radio comedy channels, and high profile opening gigs for the Counting Crows and the Goo Goo Dolls, Friesen is the only ever two-time winner of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, which has been around for 39 years, and whose past finalists boast luminaries such as Dana Carvey, Ellen DeGeneres, Sinbad, Dane Cook, and the late Robin Williams. The Times Picayune declares Friesen "One of the best up and coming comedians in the country," and the Reno Gazette-Journal says "Friesen is one comic you won't want to miss."
To complete the circle of high school catharsis, Friesen is bringing with him an opening act who is also a full-time teacher, MARK SCHUMACHER. Mr. Schumacher was named Orange County's Funniest Person in 2012. He's been featured in the Orange County Register, on KDOC's What's Up Orange County, and has written comedy for the Los Angeles Times. Schumacher's act is a parody of his real life travails as a modern day high school teacher.
