Rick Wamer, Mime Artist, Choreographer, Director and International Performer has joined forces with Enrique "Hank" Feldman, Grammy nominated Composer and Musician to create a music rich mime theater performance premier with video elements, featuring Rick Wamer and Lorie Heald (Theatrical Mime Theatre) in performance with live accompaniment from Enrique Feldman. All music is composed, performed and arranged by Enrique during the performance, and at times, improvised in the moment.
Opening the show will be some classic favorite vignettes seen by many who have attended past performances of Theatrical Mime Theatre, Wamer's and Heald's project.
The NEW performance piece addresses age old questions of humanity in a mythic, yet contemporary fashion, concerning our place in the cosmos throughout time, and our impact upon our own legacy as a species - how we impact one another, the earth and our future. What is our responsibility? If we own the beauty we create, must we not take responsibility for the destructive forces we, too, create? How does the stress of being, in our time, impact our capacity to be self actualized, hopeful beings? Is this possible? Are we capable of ultimate joy and investment in the actualization of one another? Can we continue to learn, transform, change for the better?
Rick and Enrique take up the challenge of responding to these ontological questions by responding through their artistry and craft. They have come to be known for the lyrical, beautiful, and engaging performances they present.
Join us for this engaging, sometimes poetic, sometimes comic sojourn into their unique vision for humanity.
The world premier of this collaboration will be followed by a Q & A with the creators and preceded by a performance of classic illusionary mime with improvised music that the entire family wil enjoy.
