Rehearsals starting now ... never too early to start Nutcracker!

All the dancers are excited to start rehearsing tomorrow in preparation for the Santa Clara Ballet's Nutcracker on Dec. 8-9 at the Santa Clara Convention Center! We start with rehearsing our Party Scene children, some mice and soldiers from the famous battle scene and some of our teen pointe dancers in their first time as Court Flowers!
We are delighted to welcome back 15 year old Rowan Reyes and teen ballet phenom as an extraordinary Sugar Plum Fairy. Rowan exhibits the talent and grace of her ballet parents, Andre Reyes and Cynthia Draper, both Former Principal Dancers with San Francisco Ballet. And she carries on the legacy started by her grandparents, Josefa Villanueva-Reyes and Benjamin Reyes, founders of the Santa Clara Ballet and also ballet dancers with San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Opera Ballet and Principal Dancers with San Francisco Ballet Celeste.
