Workshop Code: AA1 Workshop Title: Islamic Ornamentation: Geometric Patterns Learn simple, traditional techniques to create geometric shapes and tessellations widely used in Islamic art. At the end of the workshop, you will have created your own artwork in traditional blue and gold.

About the Instructor: Fateme Montazeri is currently earning her PhD in Islamic art. She is the co-founder of Ziya Art Studio at Berkeley. She has a degree in calligraphy from National Institute of Iranian Calligraphers and serveral of her tazheeb and calligraphy works have been exhibited around the Bay Area.
