When Gabrielle Louise and Erin Inglish were both on the bill at San Louis Obisbo's Steynburg Gallery, they teamed up for the tune "This Train West." Gabrielle says that when you watch the video of that performance you can see the exact moment they both thought, "Hey! Wanna make a band?" Despite their geographical distances--Erin is from Central Coast California and Gabrielle is based out of Colorado--they decided to form a progressive folk duo. After debuting in Denver, their first tour is coast to coast including San Francisco, LA. NYC, NJ and Colorado. September 21 brings the duo to Gabrielle's hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado, for a concert at Magnolia Music Studio. In a bit of synchronicity, Magnolia Music Studio, a teaching studio during the week and house concert venue on Friday/Saturday nights, is owned by Gabrielle's former Colorado State University freshman voice teacher Cynthia Vaughn. "Professor Vaughn" has followed Gabrielle Louise' career from CSU to Berklee School of Music to full-time professional artist. When Gabrielle approached Vaughn about a possible date on the Inglish&Louise tour, she jumped at the chance. "Its been a longtime since Gabrielle has performed in Fort Collins. I think a lot of her local fans and friends will want to come and hear the new duo." Inglish&Louise play an acoustic house concert at Magnolia Music Studio on Friday September 21, 7:30pm. |
