TONIGHT! Wednesday, December 7 I 6 Course - ARTISANAL IMPORTS BEER DINNER  Bangers and Lace has partnered up with Artisanal Imports for an evening of amazing beer, including the real "champagne of beer," Deus (Brut des Flandres) a Biere de Champagne. This celebrated beer is first brewed in Brouwerij Bosteels before being transferred to the Champagne region of France where it is treated much like a champagne with the bottles inverted and the yeast expunged and bottle re-corked. So special and unique, a bottle of Dues (Brut des Flandres) typically retails for $50. Chef Adam Wendt has created a 6 course dinner to pair with the six imported brews, and both Banger and Lace's certified Cicerone Aria Neri and Artisanal Import's Adam Schulte will be on hand to discuss the brews and pairing choices.

Starts Thursday, December 8 I Christmas In Chicago  Four actors are all set to perform a comedic, musical year-in-review for the holidays. Now if they could just stick to the script. Get in the spirit of the holidays with The Fine Print, who promise to make the recession funny. Original music, satirical Christmas songs, politically relevant sketch comedy and bushels of holiday cheer. "Christmas in Chicago" is an original work where veteran improvisers and comedic actors play ego-driven performers fighting for their moment in the spotlight. As they review the major news stories of 2011, these performers hijack the show, leading it off the rails and into their own private lives, with hilarious results.

Friday, December 9, Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11 I HANNUKATZ THE MUSICAL  Inspired by his best-selling "Mad Magazine Meets the Talmud" retelling of history's first oil crisis, "HANNUKATZ SAVES HANNUKAH," Terry Abrahamson has, at long last, created a rocking, irreverent, interactive family theater event (and apparently a new spelling) for "that other December holiday." "HANNUKATZ THE MUSICAL" is a totally new spin on Dreidl Days as presented by the tie-dyed Meowmulkah-sporting title character on his Hannukah-eve visit to the Skokie-based Moskowitz family's Hannukah-hating kids. Self-described in his Jerry Lee Lewis-inspired theme song as "a catnippy, kinda trippy, chocolate chippy Hanold hippie," Hannukatz has been armed by Grammy-winner Abrahamson and collaborator Michael Carlson with an arsenal of rousing Hannukarols like "Do the Chhhh," "No Jews Allowed," and "Hannukah is Not the Jewish Christmas." The audience participation highlights include the "Make a Chhhhh" contest and the sing-along battle hymn "The Open-a-Can-of-Potch-in-Tuchas (the kosher equivalent of opening a can of Whoop-Ass) March."

Saturday, December 10 I Frankie Negrón LIVE! Kicking Off the Chicago Salsa Congress  Kicking off the 2012 Chicago International Salsa Congress at Club Mambo, Frankie Negrón will be appearing live, singing all his greatest hits for your dancing pleasure! This is sure to be a night to remember so don't miss out on this fabulous night of music and dance. The evening will also feature special preview performances by the 2012 Chicago Salsa Congress dancers. Come and dance to Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cha Cha Cha! DJs play at 9:00 pm. Dress for photos.

Monday, December 12 I Spanish Culinary Workshop: Introduction to Spanish Fish Preserves  The Spaniard culinary expert Blanca Valencia will be presenting a recipe tastings open to all those interested in discovering the world of Spanish cuisine, considered as one of the largest and most diverse in the world. Blanca will share over four sessions (September 12, October 10, November 14 and December 14) the history and origins of famous products such as oil or olives. Each class will have a maximum of 20 participants, who can taste, ask questions and comment on all products or recipes that will form part of these workshops. Blanca Valencia was born in Spain and raised in Latin America after he graduated in the popular culinary arts school Le Cordon Bleu (London). Among other places, she has developed his professional career in the Divertimenti Cookery School and Books for Cooks (London), El Bulli Hotel (Seville) or the School of Cooking El Alambique (Madrid).
