October 25, 2011 12:28 PM

Every Tuesday at noon, PST, Brown Paper Tickets will post upcoming events happening in the San Francisco Bay Area. Here are hot tickets for events coming up. Check back for stellar events that fit the interests of locals and tourists alike.

TODAY through October 26 | Berlin & Beyond Film Festival: The Berlin & Beyond Film Festival is America's largest festival of new cinema from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Thursday, October 27 | Dinner Conversation: Building a Local Grain Economy: Community Grains is a California company doing pioneering work to build a local grain economy and redefine what we think "whole grain" to mean.  Working with mid-sized, local farmers, pioneering whole grain baking and cooking, and researching the health benefits of true whole grains, Community Grains is taking looking at the entire picture. Join 18 Reasons for a dinner conversation with founder Bob Klein (owner of East Bay restaurant Oliveto), to learn about why we should care about a local grain economy and getting the most nutrition out of our grains.

Friday, October 29 | The Odyssey On Alma: In a unique partnership with San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and San Francisco Maritime National Park Association, We Players is adapting Homer's epic poem for presentation aboard Alma, weaving together this archetypical tale of travel, exploration, and home-coming with the Park's interpretive themes, and Alma's own layered local history. Each performance will take place during a three-hour sail on San Francisco Bay, as the cast and crew weave real-time line handling with Homer's stirring account of weary seafarers striking sail for home.

Saturday, October 29 | One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest:  The acting elective at San Francisco Waldorf High School has been working all quarter on this wonderful play by Dale Wasserman. It contains adult language and subject matter, and is not recommended for anyone under the age of 13. Tickets are FREE, although they will gratefully accept your donations at the door!

Sunday, October 30 | Two Dead Clowns:  Two Dead Clowns, a new play, explores the lives of actor Divine and serial killer John Wayne Gacy Jr. This play is written and performed by Ronnie Larsen.
