LouFest is also bringing a new stage to the festival this year. Back in May they hosted a High School Battle of the Bands and of the twelve bands that entered, six were chosen including teen rockers Dear Genre and Dubb Nubb. The winners will be performing on the Area K Stage both days of the festival and you can see the schedule for Area K here. Area K provides a kid-friendly environment for St. Louis' little rockers and will feature activities like The Magic House, the Missouri Botanical Gardens, a rock-climbing wall and Fazio's Rock Academy.

And if that's not enough, there will be some great after-parties going on for the late-night crowd. Members of Deerhunter and Questlove from The Roots will be performing DJ sets at The Gramophone on Saturday night and the Official LouFest After-Party featuring DJ Clockwork, DJ Trashtalk and more will go down at The Flamingo Bowl on Sunday night.
Oh St. Louis, you don't know how lucky you are to have LouFest. The rest of the nation's music lovers will certainly envy you next weekend. This years LouFest promises to be much bigger than last years and tickets are still available so get yours here before they're gone. If you aren't in St. Louis, make the trip and experience a festival that is sure to become one of the countries premier indie music festivals in its youth. Ten years from now you can say "I was there."
