Positive Success at the 1st Annual Stockton Music & Arts Festival by starwoodentertainmentgroup.com on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 10:24pm
The 1st Annual Stockton Music & Arts Festival was a positive success - in spite of some logistical problems. Many of the attendees, who stayed at the festival throughout the day & night event, said they definitely look forward to attending next year's festival.
As advertised, the festival was a "family friendly" event where children enjoy the entertainment & surroundings as much as their parents did - one of the performers, Rappin' 4-Tay, performed with his two young children on stage with him.
Because of the intimate stage-setting, the audience was up-close - a few feet from the stage - when the headline act, Don Carlos, performed. During his performance, a couple of beautiful young women from the audience danced on stage with the veteran reggae artist, as he sang one his popular songs. Afterward, Don Carlos shook hands, and took pictures with his fans.
Overall, the diverse crowd left the festival at 10pm with smiles on their faces; and the organizers of the event assured them that there will be a 2nd Annual Stockton Music & Arts Festival.
Bernadette Conant, 19, of Stockton plays acoustic guitar and sings Saturday during the Stockton Music and Arts Festival at the Weber Point Events Center in Stockton. |
