Every Thursday at noon, EST, Brown Paper Tickets will post upcoming events happening in the Boston area. Here are hot tickets for events coming up. Check back for stellar events that fit the interests of locals and tourists alike.

Friday, July 15 & Saturday, July 16 Kelly MacFarland As an experienced stand up comedian, Kelly MacFarland has an extensive and well-rounded resume including comedy clubs, theaters, colleges and several television appearances. She has been the opening act for the international craze, "Puppetry of the Penis" and has opened for Melissa Etheridge and LeAnn Rimes at the South Shore Music Circus and Cape Cod Melody Tent. She has also appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and  worked along side Fred Willard as part of the rambunctious news team of "TV Network" on Turner Entertainment's broadband site, SuperDeluxe.com. Kelly is currently touring clubs and colleges across the country and has just returned from entertaining our US troops overseas.

Starting Friday, July 15 THE GOOD DOCTOR by Neil Simon Celebrate life's ups and downs with "THE GOOD DOCTOR," a farcical comedy from Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon. With infectious humor, a writer gives life to a series of tales inspired by Anton Chekhov's short stories. Poignant, touching, and funny, these vignettes draw inspiration from such varied characters as a suave seducer of other men's wives, a determined young actress, and a hapless government clerk. IDS's Director of Marketing Christine Toohey helms this thoughtful and playful production.

Saturday, July 16 Roxbury's Black History Tour Boston's Black community has been on the move politically, socially, and artistically for centuries. The free Black community was once centered in the North End in the 1700s. As the population grew and new opportunities became available, the community moved first to Beacon Hill in the early 1800s and then the South End in the late 1800s. By the first half of the 20th century, the highlands of Roxbury eventually became the center of Black Boston, although the community has since continued to grow into Dorchester, Mattapan, and the suburbs. Join this informative and exciting trolley tour as it travels through three centuries of Boston's historic Black neighborhoods. Follow the progression of the Black churches, gain an appreciation for the importance of the arts, and learn about the movers, shakers, and strivers of their time.

Saturday, July 16 & Sunday, July 17 Tribe Vibe 8 Join Tribe, The Dance Company, Bside, Embrace and other local guest artists for "Tribe Vibe 8." In addition to learning about the featured organizations, audience members will experience a high energy, diverse dance showcase and have an opportunity to try out a few moves themselves!
