Hot Tickets: Boston

June 30, 2011 9:00 AM

Every Thursday at noon, EST, Brown Paper Tickets will post upcoming events happening in the Boston area. Here are hot tickets for events coming up. Check back for stellar events that fit the interests of locals and tourists alike.

Thursday, June 30 to Saturday, July 9 MilkMilkLemonade by Joshua Conkel Emory is an effeminate 11-year-old boy who lives on a farm with his chain smoking Nanna and his only friend, a depressed chicken about to be processed. Nanna wishes Emory would get his head out of the clouds, stop choreographing ribbon stick dance numbers, and be more like Elliot, the boy down the road with a penchant for burning things. But Emory and Elliot have a relationship -- just not one Nanna would expect or approve of. With absurd, poignant dialog and brutal characterizations.

Thursday, June 30 to Saturday, September 3 Seth's Big Fat Broadway Show! This show ran to sold out audiences in Boston last Spring at SpeakEasy Stage. Seth is the afternoon Broadway host on Sirius/XM radio. He was recently featured on the Emmy-Award-winning Kathy Griffin Show on Bravo and just starred in "THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG" this past August opposite Sutton Foster.

Friday, July 1 COO & HOWL with ROADSIDE GRAVES and SUMMER VILAINS Three great bands juggling the best of folk, psychedelia, blues rock and classical come together for a great show at the Lizard Lounge.

Saturday, July 2 Zombie Survival Training Save yourself and your loved ones by attending Zombie Survival Training. Get your own survival kit, get personal with our completely safe trained zombies in the kissing booth, see a sneak-peak of our apocalyptic Zombie Double Feature Project, and help make it possible. If you manage to survive training you can join us for the after-party at a top secret zombie-proof location close by! While we can't say that if you attend Zombie Survival Training you will survive an apocalyptic event in 2012, we will say that your chances of falling victim to a massive horde of zombies will be greatly reduced.

Know of any other events happening in the Boston area this week? Post them in the comments section.
