STARWOOD ENTERTAINMENT GROUP PRESENTS
THE "1st ANNUAL STOCKTON MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL
STOCKTON, CA June 20, 2011
Starwood Entertainment Group will present the "1st ANNUAL STOCKTON MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL" on July 9, 2011, from 2PM-10PM, at Weber Point Events Center, 221 North Center Street, Stockton, CA. Music Entertainment from various genres, Food Booths, Art & Craft exhibits will be featured at this first annual family-oriented festival. Various artists from Rock, Hip Hop, Old School, and Reggae genres will highlight the event. The lineup includes: Don Carlos, Mystic Roots, Jha Voice, Masterpiece, Rappin'4-Tay, King Assassin, Bay Area Girls, and many more artists will perform on different stages.
Don Carlos is a veteran reggae recording artist who started his singing career back in 1973, as one of the original members of the roots vocal group Black Uhuru. As a soloist, he has recorded 12 albums, most notably "Harvest Time", "Day to Day Living", "Them Never Know a Natty Dread Have Credentials"; and in the process has established a loyal international following through touring the live circuit.
Mystic Roots (MRB) is a Chico, Ca. based group that brings a fresh sound while embracing the nature of roots reggae wholeheartedly and performing it with smooth vocals & harmonies, energetic freestyles and beat-boxing - backed by powerful grooves. The music and lyrics are catchy and upbeat with con-structive conscious messages - MRB promotes positivity in their songs. The group has performed over 1,400 shows with some of the biggest names in Reggae, Hip Hop, and Rock. Although they tour the U.S. full-time, they have fan bases in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and several regions of Asia.
Jha Voice is a native of Israel with North African decent, and one of the hottest new artists out of Los Angeles. Those who experience her music are calling her the "Urban Sade." Her unique international sound mixed with hip hop is both refreshing and pleasing to listeners' ears. Her Middle Eastern style on top of urban-fueled beats and New Age Hip-Hop sets the stage as she sings words of Hope, Faith and Love. "Voice 2 Sing" is her latest CD release, and her lyrics are homegrown and true to life. She is passionate about the earth and humanity. "My dream" says Jha Voice, "is to bring light to this world through the beauty of music."
Masterpiece is a collective of the San Francisco Bay Area's finest performers working together to provide audiences with the ultimate party and concert experience. Pop, Soul, Funk, R&B, Jazz: they play a wide range of styles, and put their all into every performance to ensure that everyone has a great time.
Rappin'4-Tay, a San Francisco native, is best known for his classic rap hit "Playaz Club." In 1995, two Rappin'4-Tay songs - "Problems" and "A Message for Your Mind" - were featured on the "Dangerous Minds" soundtrack. He is also featured on the Tupac Shakur track - "Only God Can Judge Me." Rappin'4-Tay is known as a "Master Lyricist" when he performs live on stage.
Dj King Assassin is a positive motivated speaker that instructs today's generation on how to generate financial freedom in the entertainment industry. Assassin has not only established himself as a respected music producer and DJ; he is the DJ for Celebrities & Multi-Platinum Artists, such as Rob Base & Drew Sidora. He also rocks the microphone with the best of them - Dj King Assassin has released 20 underground albums.
"The festival promises to be an enjoyable family-oriented event for everyone," says Jon Nisby, festival producer/promoter. "I believe festival attendees will enjoy the scheduled quality entertainment, as well as the various arts, exhibits, good food, and great location."
