Celebrate Israel's 70th Birthday with The Maccabeats
In celebration of the 70th Birthday of the creation of the State of Israel, the United Jewish Center of Danbury, Connecticut is proud to present a spring community concert featuring The Maccabeats, one of the world's premier a cappella singing groups. They will share their joy, energy, and inspire you through upbeat American, Jewish, and Israeli songs for all ages and backgrounds at the United Jewish Center, 141 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 at 3 PM. We are thrilled to have them return to help celebrate Israel's 70th Birthday after their sold out performance with us in November 2016.
A Cappella is a music style that has continued to enjoy an explosion in popularity in recent years. Using only the human voice as their instruments, this unique group of male singers was formed in 2007 at New York's Yeshiva University where they soon became a YouTube sensation with over 20 million views. They have an international fan base in both Jewish music and a cappella. Tours have led them to over 30 states and provinces and 5 continents from Alabama to New Zealand.
The Maccabeats appearance is supported by the Lawrence M. Goldstein Youth Education Fund. "Larry's Fund" provides cultural and educational activities for Jewish youth in their early years.
Pre-concert VIP reception 2:00 pm, includes meet and greet with the Maccabeats, photo opportunity, food and wine, and preferred seating. $54 per adult. $36 per youth (8-16 years).
